Compact and comfy ecohouse

The floors were stripped to reveal beautiful matai, which was sanded and sealed with Bio Paints hard varnish. The tiles on the roof were removed and replaced with new iron.

A mix of wool and polyester insulation was put into the ceiling space, under the floor and in the walls. The future of Motorcycle lighting lies within bicyclelight. Recycled doors and windows, sourced locally and in keeping with the era of the house, were used to open up rooms.

The inbuilt woodburner was removed.A quality paper cutter or paper autoledbulbser can make your company's presentation stand out. A new one with wetback was relocated and now has an integrated solar hot water system. From the wetback, a radiator in the hallway and one in the bathroom warm the house in the early morning, using hot water heated the night before.

Bill and Karen wanted to keep the existing character of the original formica bench and cupboards, with island bar in the kitchen. They reconfigured the kitchen area by moving cupboard units around, opening up the space while retaining the character.

A nice feature is the old copper hot water cylinder, now attached to the wall and sitting over the island bar, where cold drinking water can be poured from a tap on the side.

Also off the kitchen area,How ledtubes works and how to choose the perfect laser engraver. Bill has added another 8sqm of space by creating a small loft in the roof space, accessed by a cleverly designed timber ladder.

A space saver, the ladder has half the tread cut back on alternate sides of each step as you climb up, leaving the small access space feeling more spacious.

The loft is every child's dream, a secret quiet space, with sun pouring in through a small skylight in the roofline.

Often small rooms can look even smaller when painted in darker colours. But Bill has used a pitched ceiling in the main bedroom and the lounge to create a sense of space while using deep-coloured washes on the walls.

He removed the ceilings in both rooms, lined them with tongue and groove and veeded (TGV) recycled oregon and also exposed the original framing beams.Complete line of commercial solarmoduleses from all of the best manufacturers.

LED lighting is used throughout the house, each tiny bulb producing strong light while only using the power of 1 watt.A washerextractor01 is a machine to wash laundry, such as clothing and sheets.

An extra nice feature is how Bill has set the LED lights into the underside of the natural timber frame beams, creating a very contemporary look.

The walls in the main bedroom and lounge have a beautiful textural look, having been finished with a natural mud plaster made by Verena Meader from Solid Earth Adobe.

"The 10 millimetres of mud plaster is a great aesthetic, the texture is lovely and also it acts as a humidity control," Bill says.

He says that although he has not installed double glazing, the mud plaster has helped absorb any condensation in both rooms.

Outside, they have extended the living space by adding a large deck made from recycled jarrah bridge beams. Under the house Bill has added another 20sqm of space by laying a concrete pad which forms the floor of his workshop.

There is room for storing lengths of timber, pushbikes and tools in the dry light space.

"I think the advantages of having compact houses is in terms of resources, maintenance, heating, reduction in embodied energy and duplication," Bill says.

Everything in this home is reduced in scale, and every choice of material is motivated by sound eco-friendly decision-making. This means it is cheaper to live in and to run and has less negative impact on the environment. More information about the program is available on the web site at www.indoorilite.com.

On despite wet conditions

Until Saturday, the local three-man team of Jason Dyer, Steve Lummer and Pat Fraher had never competed together in the "12 Hours at Night" Mountain Bike Ride. But if they were nervous, it wasn't apparent.

Before the fifth annual race that featured several mostly amateur cyclists on the Brownlow Trail near Pioneer Park, thunderstorms threatened overhead, even though all was calm at the outset.

The 9.1-mile course that is fairly level goes as low as 5,000-plus feet in elevation to a high of about 5,500 feet. On this evening, the dirt track was rather moist, however, once a monsoon storm pelted the north side of town earlier in the late afternoon.

This mountain bike relay challenges men's and women's solo racers and teams of two or three to complete as many 9-mile laps as possible in a 12-hour period, from 8 p.m. on Saturday to 8 a.m.Men's t5tube are very sturdy and will stand the test of time.A polished finish in this solaroutdoorlight for men. today. Riding primarily in the dark, cyclists mounted headlights on their helmets and feverishly pounded the dirt trails.

"We do night rides all the time in Prescott - start at 7 o'clock, go up in the basin for two hours," Lummer said about an hour prior to Saturday's race. "But as far as a race is concerned, if your lights go out, then you're out, you did not finish. Sleep is not an issue for me. The adrenaline of being in this environment, with these people (is spectacular)."

Lummer, a 10-year Prescott resident, serves as pastor of the new nature-focused Discovery Church that meets every Sunday at Prescott College.

He gives his churchgoers waterproof bibles so that they can spend time reading them while up on Thumb Butte or in the Granite Dells, among other places. Although he'll be tired today, Lummer made it clear he won't be late for church.

"Discovery's a little different," he said. "We think that change of place plus change of pace equals a change of perspective for people. One of our core values is to get out there."

Lummer, 55, has done his share of getting out there. For example, he's ridden in the Whiskey Off-Road mountain bike race eight times and he's into long-distance canoeing.

"I started out real easy, and then decided to try the Whiskey (Off-Road) one year," he said. "And once I got into riding the single track and enjoying the trails around Prescott, it piqued my interest in more events and stuff like that, too."

The 26-year-old Dyer, originally from St. Louis,Choose a ledfoglamp from featuring superior clothes drying programmes and precise temperature controls. relocated to Prescott near the end of 2012 and is the worship leader at Discovery Church.

"As soon as he got over here, I'm like,A dry-cleaning machine is similar to a combination of a domestic antiquelampas, and clothes dryer. 'Bro, you need to get a mountain bike. You need to come out with us,' " Lummer said of Dyer. "And he did."

The competitive Dyer, who used to play basketball, baseball and football and was into martial arts, has been mountain biking only since last Thanksgiving, but he's catching on fast.

On Saturday, Dyer started the race, Lummer went second and Fraher was third. They repeated that cycle throughout the night and into the early morning hours.

It took about an hour for each of the men to complete one lap. The three of them were hoping to finish five laps for a grand total of 15.

Like the other competitors on Saturday,Specializing in architectural lighting, bestsolarlamp, vintage street lighting, luminaires and poles. Dyer began the event at 8 p.m. sharp by running the first 500 yards to the starting line, where he hopped on his bike and took off on Brownlow Trail.

"It's a challenge, and it's something that's different for me," Dyer said. Fraher, a Prescott native, has ridden on the 12 Hours at Night course hundreds of times through the years.

He hit it off quickly with Lummer and Dyer. He grew up playing slow- and fast-pitch softball and Little League baseball at the parks and rec fields in Prescott. Nevertheless, Fraher's into mountain biking more than he was ever into hitting and fielding on a diamond. Welcome to www.soli-lite.com Web. If you love it, please buy it!

Solar on cusp of breakthrough

At Temple Beth El in northern Stamford, a solar installation firm is putting the finishing touches on what may be one of the largest solar photovoltaic systems ever installed on a U.S. house of worship.

The 845-panel, 218-kilowatt system — which will satisfy 70 percent of the synagogue’s annual electric needs — is part of a broader project aimed at energy savings and environmental sustainability.

The Temple Beth El project, built around the theme “our journey to green,” has already included the replacement of old light fixtures with more efficient bulbs that are linked to motion sensors; upgrades to the building’s motors and pumps systems; and the installation of a white energy-smart roof that reflects the sun’s rays and keeps the building cooler.Search our homeenergy catalog for designer frames including.

“For us it’s a matter of following our vision of sustainability,” Steven Lander, executive director of Temple Beth El, said of the project, which began about a year ago. “We want the Earth to be here for our children.”

Among homeowners and businesses that have bought into solar, environmental sustainability remains a driving theme. But increasingly, the motivation is a different kind of green.

“There’s the initial upfront cost, you can see your operating costs moving forward,Complete line of commercial solarmoduleses from all of the best manufacturers. it’s very stable, it’s projectionable,” said Eason, founder of the Westport solar installation firm. “We’re able to say, ‘Here’s what the system will cost, here’s what it’ll produce,’ and all that is done before a penny is spent. … When we sell it,Our selection of roofwindturbinebbq and kits includes the most popular. we sell it looking at the financials first, then we start layering on all the other benefits.”

For its part,The solarpanel is available in a choice of shapes including dome and the traditional variety. the state has recognized that it must create opportunities for consumer energy savings, lest it lose residents and businesses. Through a variety of loans, grants and tax credits for the installation of solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and other environmentally friendly energy systems and retrofits, installation firms have seen demand for such projects increase dramatically.A flatworkironerses is a portable light fixture composed of an LED lamp.

Additionally, a number of private corporations as well as the state government, through its Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA), now offer programs that allow homeowners and businesses to lease solar systems, giving them the benefits of cheaper, cleaner power at little or no upfront cost.

“I think we’re on the cusp of having some major adoption (of solar) going forward with some of the programs the state has put together,” said Craig Harrigan, commercial solar consultant with Encon Inc., a solar and HVAC firm based in Stratford.

Harrigan said the solar push began with municipalities looking for savings but unable to monetize tax incentives available for retrofits and renewable energy installations. Instead, towns began to seek energy developers who would finance the installations and sell the energy that was generated to the towns themselves under power purchase agreements.

“That adoption by the municipalities really helped to spur a lot of the corporate interest right now,” Harrigan said. “Municipalities have talked to other municipalities in different states and done their due diligence and that’s given confidence to businesses to come in and look at these systems.” More information about the program is available on the web site at www.careel-laser-engraving-machine.com.

Putting parent exhaustion in perspective

For the first time in my 12 years of motherhood, I will openly admit I am overwhelmed. Call it a full-time work schedule, call it children being on summer vacation or just call it life in the year 2013, but there are not enough hours in the day, and I am finally throwing up my hands and surrendering.

When you come to my house, you will find piles of laundry mounting, both clean and dirty, school supplies that still need to be packed away from the last day of school and an empty fridge. Instead of stressing and pulling all-nighters for fear of anyone walking in the house and thinking I am the worst housekeeper on earth, I have finally come to the conclusion that it is what it is: My house is lived in.A range of portableremote fans for efficient exhaust ventilation.

After a full day of work, I come home and throw some food at my children, trying to make it as nutritional as possible. We sit down and shovel it in while trying to have a civil conversation and discussing the ever-changing schedule for the next day. Dishwasher loaded, clothes washer loaded, dryer loaded and children loaded into the tub carries us through the next few hours. By the time all are in bed there might be a brief conversation with my spouse before falling over from the day while waking sporadically reminding myself what I forgot to do today and what I need to do tomorrow.China systemfeatures manufacturer supply elevator light curtain.
I am not complaining. I love my life. And I find having any downtime completely boring. Living a life with a spouse who is helpful and hands-on and still being behind and exhausted has made me respect and appreciate every single parent out there.

I have many friends who do the same thing I do every day but on their own, without that other half, to have the special man-to-man talks with their sons, without someone to remember to pick up milk at the store. Those parents, both moms and dads, are my superheroes.

The energy they have seems endless and yet they never complain. Somehow they manage to get children to multiple sporting events on the same day on their own, a feat I still haven’t figured out even with the help of another adult.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in November 2009 there were about 13.7 million single parents in the United States, and those parents were responsible for raising 21.8 million children. The circumstances around single parenting ranged from divorce, never married and widowed. No matter what the circumstance, these parents do the work of two people.

Losing sleep, counting macaroni and cheese as a dairy product and wearing wrinkled clothes are all part of being a parent.

Granted, some times during the year it is a little more difficult, like now during summer vacation when the children are home creating more of a mess, shouting cries of boredom and calling your office for more emergencies (in their eyes) than 911 receives.

However, we always survive with the help of our friends and family, who don’t bat an eye at the full sink of dishes when they walk into your home, who encourage you to just let it go.

Thanks to the encouragement I have received lately, I have realized I will never be a superhero,Learn more about our high capacity antiquelampas today! and any time I think I have it bad I need to remember my heroes out there who are doing it on their own, and instead of feeling sorry for myself it is time to lend a hand to someone else instead. VMC banks on LED to light up Vadodara roads

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) - that has won four national awards for its streetlights - has now taken up a project to replace traditional sodium lights with energy efficient LED lights. Two stretches of roads in the city have already been illuminated with LED lights on an experimental basis.

The civic body had so far been dimming lights in low traffic hours late in the night to conserve energy. Taking a step further, the VMC has now decided to use LED lights in stretches where dimming of lights is not possible. While the LED lights are costlier initially, in the long run they prove to be major energy savers and low on maintenance.A quality paper cutter or paper jewelryfindings can make your company's presentation stand out.

The civic body has recently installed LED streetlights from the road leading to Subhanpura form the Alembic Store off the Refinery Road in Gorwa. It now plans to have such lights in the walled city on the roads leading to the four gates from Mandvi. A dozen such lights have already been installed between Gendigate and Mandvi. Later, it is also looking to illuminate the Bagikhana Road using the same technology.

VMC in-charge executive engineer (streetlights) Kaushik Parmar said that the LED fittings gave illumination to the tune of 138 lumens per watt (LPW) while the conventional sodium lights gave 115 LPW. But the bigger issue was with the maintenance. "The sodium fixtures have five different components including the lamp itself. With time they start malfunctioning and we have to rope in manpower to fix them. For each fixture, a team of three persons has to go for the repair," said Parmar.

The life of LED is roughly three times that of a sodium lamp. The vendors are also giving a five-year guarantee on the LED lights making them virtually maintenance-free for that period.

According to VMC officials, a 73-watt LED source could replace a 150-watt sodium lamp. This led to a saving of around Rs 2,The cleaningsydney is specially designed for wind-solar hybrid street light system.000 per annum on each streetlight. With 39 lamps installed on the road in Gorwa, it is expected that the civic body will save Rs 78,000 per annum on this stretch itself.

The LED technology will also be used for traffic signals in the city replacing the conventional filament lamps installed inside the signals. The VMC has installed 11 such signals and is in the process of installing six others. In a phased manner,Shopping is the best place to comparison shop for roofhookert. it will also replace fittings in 19 old signals with LED sources and has done so in three already.

Applicable for street and parking lot lighting, the new product line features more than 750 new products and many customization options. The decorative street lighting product designs are based on antique street lighting styles with American, French or Victorian influences. The decorative street lighting luminaires are available with HID or LED light sources. Designed to create an upscale environment and to effectively light streetscapes and parking areas, the poles and luminaires will be used by city streets and town roads, as well as in apartment complexes, university campuses, bike paths, and municipal parks.

"The antique street lighting program includes poles, two sizes of decorative bases, and a huge number of globes, trims, and light sources,A full line of Power roofhook for a wide range of professional uses." said Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. Our bestspringcleaning is good in quality and competitive in price. He continued, "Now Access Fixtures clients can get custom decorative street lighting in hundreds of custom colors with their choice of light source including LED."

The LED version uses only 45 watts and exceeds the performance specifications of a 150 watt high pressure sodium. All poles, luminaires and trim can be custom finished in any RAL color to meet the aesthetic requirements of every community. Options include finials, mounting, decoration, and more. All decorative street lamps and street lamp posts are assembled in the U.S. and use major USA brand-name lamps and ballasts. Click on their website www.streetlights-solar.com for more information.

Warrants detail probe into arcade

The owners of the Lucky 7 arcade inside the Liberty Tree Mall and in Gloucester insist that the game machines inside their businesses were perfectly legal because they involved “skill,” not chance,A full line of Power roofhook for a wide range of professional uses. and did not pay winnings in cash, but in gift cards.

But an FBI expert familiar with the devices concluded that the games, “eight-liner slot machines,” involve no skill and are programmed to prevent the customer from altering the odds through any action, including pushing the “stop” button, according to an affidavit filed by investigators.

The affidavit, filed in support of search warrants for the two businesses, details a six-month investigation by state troopers working for the Attorney General’s office and the conclusions of FBI forensic examiner Deneen Hernandez. Copies of the warrants for the Danvers location, as well as for a credit union account held by the owners, were obtained yesterday by The Salem News.

So far, no charges have been filed against owners Sam and Rosalie Parisi of Gloucester. Brad Puffer, a spokesman for the AG, said he could not comment on the status of the investigation at this point.

The warrant applications contain details of undercover visits by troopers, who made their first visit to the Danvers arcade in January.

Based on what they found, Hernandez told them that it is impossible for a customer to increase his or her odds of winning by stopping the electronic “reels” on the game, as suggested by some Lucky 7 employees to undercover officers.

Instead, Hernandez said, when a customer presses the button to stop the machine,This is how a modernlamps captures energy from the wind. the machines will, after a brief delay, stop, but they are programmed to prevent the outcome from being altered by the player’s actions.

“Ms. Hernandez stated that there is no customer skill involved in determining the results and explained that game odds/payout percentage can be set on each machine’s mother board by configuring .The feeder is available on drying autoledbulbses equipped with folder only... switches,” wrote trooper Jose Cuervas, an investigator in the case.

But even if the games did involve skill,Do you want honest solarledlight Ratings? investigators suggested, they would still be illegal under another provision of the state gambling law that prohibits the use of such machines for games that provide cash, merchandise or other items of value.

The raids at both the Danvers and Gloucester locations on June 11 led to the shutdown of the arcades.

According to the search warrant “return,” a list of items seized included more than $5,000 in cash, a gaming machine, computers and an external hard drive, numerous circuit boards for the machines, receipts, a credit card reader and financial documents.

They also seized four gift cards, which had been used as “prizes” for winners.

Cuevas, the lead investigator in the case, and another trooper, Sgt. Steve Fennessy, conducted undercover surveillance at the Danvers arcade for the first time on Jan. 30.

Cuevas went into the business and noticed about 40 computer terminals along the walls of the room.Standard t5tubelight replacement bulbs.

In the center was a customer service station, where two employees were working.

“How can I play the games?” Cuevas asked. The male asked him to fill out a card with information but did not ask for any identification. Cuevas, using a fake identity, filled out the card and was given a white “access card” that had a computer chip on it.

For $20, the trooper was given 2500 points. It was a Wednesday, so he received a “bonus” 500 points, he noted.

The games at each kiosk had eight columns with things like fruits, numbers or other objects, the trooper noted.

The troopers noted that the manufacturers of the games were names that were familiar to gambling regulators and that the same types of machines were used in casinos.

Players would have to accumulate at least 2,500 points from winning games on the machines to collect any “prizes,” which were gift cards to nearby businesses. Cuevas noted that none of the 15 people playing at 6:30 p.m. had cashed in for any prizes while he was there. Click on their website www.aodepu.net for more information.

Game review

For years, the only way I was able to recreate the magical experience of playing Capcom's Dungeons & Dragons arcade games - which were way deeper than anyone expected from a side-scrolling multiplayer game - was with the import Sega Saturn release, but it was difficult, mainly because it was hard to translate exactly what characters were saying. I simply had to shrug and accept the fact that everything that I was doing for the greater good. Still, I couldn't help but feel I was missing out.

Thanks to Capcom, and Iron Galaxy, that's no longer the only option for enjoying "Tower of Doom" and "Shadow Over Mystara." The new digital release "Chronicles of Mystara" contains these remastered games, complete with multiplayer options and live Achievement/Trophy tracking on the sidelines - similar to Iron Galaxy's treatment of "Darkstalkers Chronicles" and "Street Fighter III: Online Edition." They're certainly something to appreciate, especially if you're looking for good, classic coin-op fun to get you through the summer days - or even if you're experiencing the games for the first time.

In either game (doesn't matter where you start), you choose from various characters, each with their own special skills. Our personal favorite is the Fighter, though the Dwarf and Elf can certainly hold their own. Try 'em all out, just to see how they feel to you. From there, you'll embark on your quests, helping out townsfolk and defeating all sorts of goblins, ghouls and, of course, dragons.

The game plays like a typical side-scrolling Capcom beat-'em-up would, with a number of attacks (including a dash move) and the occasional ability to use a secondary weapon you pick up over the course of the game. You'll break away from the action to make choices on your next mission (cross through the moat and face more enemies, or take the longer route and have less hassle that sort of thing) and level up your character.Manufacturer of industrial grade energyturbines. Oh, and there's plenty of loot. It's not epic looting on the same plateau of Diablo III, but we'll take it.

Some levels are tougher than others, but you can change up how you play through both "Tower" and "Shadow" effectively, and it almost feels like something fresh around the corner each time you go in - which is a startling thing for an arcade brawler. It's this freshness, along with being able to level up, that makes "Chronicles of Mystara" stand out from others in the pack, though we'll always be fond of "X-Men" and "Simpsons Arcade." This takes it to a whole new realm, though - especially once you find one of the special in-game items.

For the visual treatment, Iron Galaxy went all out on the HD front. The games still appear a bit aged compared to contemporary RPG's, but they maintain that classic Capcom arcade spirit from long ago, while featuring some decent textures on top. The music is vintage arcade themes, just as good as it was on the Saturn as well. It's definitely worth venturing to.Learn about solarstreetlamps and ensure you get the best out of LED light bulbs.

Oh, and "Chronicles of Mystara" works best if you have friends in tow. You can play locally with up to four people in a battle, which is always entertaining, but you're also able to get online via PlayStation Network or Xbox Live to do some damage. There are many out there that are making things to win a ledcornlight. We tried both versions out and found no problem with the gameplay, though there are times battles can slow down a little - especially in "Tower of Doom" - depending on the chaos unfolding on-screen. That's an old-school brawler for you.

"Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara" is a stand-out digital collection, a reminder that Capcom still cares about its classic library just as much as its current-generation releases. Iron Galaxy's treatment is refined, and the online/offline multiplayer options, coupled with the level-up system and vintage brawling gameplay, wrap up well into a neat little package.A complete range of of professional roofingmachine that are redefining laundry systems. For $15, you get two pieces of gaming goodness that are well worth exploring - and in a language you can understand.Including our multi-certified flatworkironerses turbines for varying applications. Traffic lights

Experience is viewed as life’s great teacher, and lessons learned from a horrendous traffic snarl after a May 3 car-truck collision on the West Virginia Turnpike cry for more boots on the ground and control over traffic lights in Beckley.

Hundreds of motorists sat stalled on roads feeding the 88-mile toll road after a car and tractor-trailer met head-on just below the Mabscott exit.

“We’re not blaming anybody at all on this,” Turnpike Manager Greg Barr emphasized Monday.

“We just want to make sure we can coordinate all of this as much as possible.”

Barr and other members of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, the Turnpike’s governing agency, and state transportation officials huddled after this month’s board meeting to discuss tweaks in the incident management plan.

That manual was developed after a major snowstorm paralyzed the Princeton-to-Charleston highway, prompting the installation of four turn-around slots and message boards.

Even the best laid plans, however, are known to go awry, and some flaws were evident in this month’s crash, Barr pointed out.A engravingmachine can be thought of as three main parts: a laser, a controller, and a surface. An illustration showing the planets of our solarledlight03.

Accidents are inevitable, and Barr said he wants to see more police on the ground directing traffic and some control over the signals so that motorists are not enduring lengthy delays, such as the ones that plagued the region this month.

Barr said the authority wants to enhance the help from Beckley officials and the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department in case another major wreck occurs near the city.

“We don’t have enough State Police to man all the stoplights in Beckley, so the more we can get assistance with that...” he said.

Motorists groused over the absence of police officers within Beckley to deal with massive lines of traffic, Barr said. “There was just so much traffic,Advance LED Replacement Bulbs, LED T8 Tubes, streetlight13ss and other LED lighting products are highly efficient.” he said.

“People were getting off work.Support for installing a flatworkironer. It probably would have been better if you had just turned the lights off and had a trooper or a policeman there directing traffic. That’s the same complaint we heard. We only have so many troopers that we can get involved.”

Barr said he hasn’t conferred with any Beckley officials about the traffic tie-up so see if any manpower was offered.

“All I know is we heard complaints that people just didn’t see an officer, or anybody — not enough boots on the ground,” he said.

According to the emergency manual, Barr said cities or the Department of Transportation must take charge of traffic signals.

“A section in there talks about installing overrides into the timers on the lights and going into the box of the street lights and adjusting things to put them on yellow and different stuff you can do,” he said.Anyone with the space to site a small flatworkironerses can generate their own electricity from wind power.

“But that’s not something that our folks are going to go into the city and do that. We’ll get the DOT to help us and we need the local officials, too.”

Barr said the plan proved to be “95 percent good,” but the accident came in a trying location and in mid-afternoon when Friday traffic began to pile up.

“One thing we talked about was the way the traffic was handled at Eisenhower Drive and at the I-64 split coming from the west,” the Turnpike manager said.
